SkyVision Rolls Out New Satellite VPN Services in Nigeria

[Satellite TODAY 02-10-11] SkyVision Global Networks, a global provider of IP connectivity over satellite and fiber optic systems, has launched new enterprise services in Nigeria, the company announced Feb. 9.
    SkyVision established a point-of-presence and Teleport in Lagos, Nigeria via submarine cables and satellites to improve global, regional and domestic connectivity. SkyVision also installed a local hub at its point-of-presence to serve enterprise and corporate customers with single-hop VSAT VPN connectivity based on SkyVision’s  satellite VPN service.
    “With the huge expansion of both national and international corporate activity in the country, there is no question that Nigeria is a strategic market for SkyVision. We are continuing to invest considerable resources in developing our corporate network connectivity solutions for this segment, which is showing steady growth,” SkyVision CEO Doron Ben Sira said in a statement.
