[Satellite TODAY 08-30-10] RigNet, a provider of remote communications and collaborative applications to the global oil and gas industry, has recently opened a service center in Dickinson, N.D.
The new service center aims to enable RigNet to provide high customer service levels to its oil and gas clients in the Bakken Shale region, which includes parts of North Dakota and Montana. RigNet provides a range of VSAT connectivity services to land rigs and remote offices in the region, including fully managed IP-based voice, fax, broadband Internet and enterprise data access.
“At RigNet, one of our goals is to provide superior customer service and the quickest response times in the industry. The North Dakota service center will enable us to meet this goal as we work with our clients to provide remote communication solutions engineered to improve their operations and productivity,” RigNet North American Regional Manager Ricky Begnaud said in a statement.
The opening of the North Dakota Service Center marks RigNet’s second service center opening in the United States this year.  In January, RigNet opened a service center in Williamsport, Penn. to service the Marcellus Shale region.
