Cobham Unveils Martime VSAT Antenna Product Line

[Satellite TODAY 07-30-10] Cobham Satcom released its Sea Tel XX10 marine stabilized antenna, developed to provide maritime bandwidth customers with an always-on VSAT network, the company announced July 29.
    The XX10-series antenna system, compatible with all Ku-Band frequencies, is available in 100- and 125-centimeter reflector sizes and is intended to meet design specifications such as EN 60945, MIL STD 461, MIL STD 167-1 and IEC 60950. The XX10 incorporates a digital antenna controller and stabilization system from Sea Tel, along with a co-polarization configuration for global customers and cross-polarization configuration for regional customers.
    “The XX10 has been beta-tested and we have received extremely positive feedback from our dealer network. … We expect very strong growth in the market in the next year and the XX10 will allow our customer base to offer a complete suite of solutions to the end market,” Cobham Vice President John DeSana said in a statement.
