[Satellite TODAY 06-03-10] German VSAT Internet provider Level 421 has selected optimization technology from XipLink to implement a German government SCPC VSAT network, XipLink announced June 2.
The XipLink single-box technology solution aims to provide mission critical service while optimizing TCP traffic at lower cost to the provider. The developer claims the technology provides increased throughput of more than 40 percent.
Level 421, which operates IP satellite networks for government, oil and gas, and enterprise customers in Germany with advanced network requirements for VoIP and VPN use, said it chose XipLink’s technology due to its ease of deployment and ability to integrate into complex IP networks without requiring changes to its basic routing infrastructure.
