SES New Skies Signs Caprock Deal

[Satellite Today 02-03-09] SES New Skies signed a capacity deal with Caprock Communications, the company announced Feb. 2.
CapRock Communications, a provider of enterprise satellite communications to oil, mining, maritime and gas companies located, contracted 18 megahertz of C-band capacity on the NSS-7 satellite at 338 degrees East. CapRock also renewed an existing contract for 5.8 megahertz in Ku-band on that satellite.
CapRock operates five teleports around the globe including a teleport and regional support center located in Macaé, Brazil, a strategic site for the oil and gas industry since it is close to the Campos Basin, the largest oil-producing region in Brazil.
