Vizada Adds Iridium Handset to its MSS Portfolio

[Satellite Today 11-14-08] Vizada has integrated the Iridium 9555 handset into its mobile satellite services (MSS) portfolio, Vizada announced Nov. 14.
Iridium 9555 by Vizada will be available exclusively through Vizada service providers by end of November 2008. The Iridium 9555 handset was launched by Iridium on Oct. 20. Vizada said that more than 250 advance orders have already been taken for the service.
“Through the Vizada and Iridium partnership, emergency responders, government and military users around the world can rely on a secure, real-time and mission-critical mobile satellite communications service,” Jeroen Jaspers, product director at Vizada, said in a statement.
