EADS Astrium Revenues Climb In 2008 First Quarter

[Satellite News – 5-14-08] EADS Astrium recorded revenues improved to 751 million euros ($1.2 billion) in the 2008 first quarter, primarily due to the ramp-up of Paradigm services and an increased Ariane 5 production rate, EADS announced May 14.
    In the 2007 first quarter, EADS Astrium reported revenues of 629 million euros ($975.4 million). Earning before interest and taxes more than tripled to 33 million euros ($51.2 million), compared to 10 million euros ($15.5 million)  in the 2007 first quarter.
    At the end of March, backlog stood at 12.7 billion euros ($19.7 million), down slightly from 12.9 billion euros ($20 million) at the end of 2007.
