SES Astra Deepens Satellite Broadband Penetration

[Satellite Today – 4-23-08] SES Astra’s signed a framework contract with the Belgium-based Satelliet Electronics for the marketing and sales of the Astra2Connect broadband services, SES Astra announced April 23.
    Under the terms of the deal Satelliet Electronics will distribute the service in Belgium and the Netherlands.
    “With Astra2Connect we want to address customers in regions depending on slow and expensive dial-up connections, while we also see good market perspectives in the recreational sector and the maritime market,” Michel Anusiç, sales manager for Satelliet Electronics, said in a statement.
    SES Astra already has signed deals with four distribution partners in Germany and with partners in Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, France, Italy and Poland.
