Sirius, XM Extend Merger Agreement

[Satellite Today – 2-29-08] XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio will not exercise a termination clause in their merger agreement, extending the deal to May 1 while they continue to await U.S. government approval, the companies announced Feb. 29.
    The two satellite radio companies announced in February 2007 a plan to combine their operations and have been waiting for the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission to approve the deal.
