Iridium Names Chief Legal Officer

[Satellite Today – 1-7-08] Iridium Satellite has named John Brunette chief legal and administrative officer, the company announced Jan. 7.
    Brunette who has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, previously worked as CEO for Teleglobe Inc.
    "As Iridium continues to expand and develop our next-generation constellation, it is essential that we have experienced counsel on-board," Matt Desch, chairman and CEO of Iridium, said in a statement. "John is able to guide our rapidly growing global company through an evolving and often complex regulatory environment, particularly as we prepare for the public markets. … In addition, John’s telecom operational background will assist the company as we develop more sophisticated products for our customers."
