MSV, Wireless Matrix Extend Contract Through 2009

[12-06-07 – Satellite Today] Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) will provide satellite communications for Wireless Matrix through 2009 under a two-year contract extension, MSV announced Dec. 5. The agreement extends a contract first enacted in September 1998.
    Wireless Matrix provides fleet management solutions and wireless data communications services for companies in the utilities, cable, telecom, railroads and distribution industries. The company uses MSV satellite service to provide mobile resource management services, vehicle and asset tracking, and other short burst data applications.
    "MSV is very pleased to continue our valued business association with Wireless Matrix," John Mattingly, president of satellite services for MSV, said in a statement. "MSV’s satellite capacity provides an essential link enabling Wireless Matrix to deliver reliable, cost-efficient services that meet the communications of its wide-ranging variety of customers."
