Norsat Posts Increased Margin, Revenues For Third Quarter

[11-08-07 – Satellite Today] Norsat International Inc. posted a strong gain in satellite systems gross margin, from 5 percent of revenue in the third quarter of 2006 to 51 percent of revenue in the quarter ending Sept. 30, the company announced Nov. 7.
     The company said the increase was the result of a provision for obsolete inventory and work-in-progress adjustments for customer orders that negatively impacted the company’s gross margin in the third quarter of 2006.
    For the whole company, there was a 26 percent increase in revenue for the third quarter of 2007. Revenue for the third quarter ending Sept. 30 was 4 million CAD ($4.37 million), up from 3.1 million CAD ($3.38 million).
