Wegener Renews Mega Hertz Agreement

[10-03-07 – Satellite Today]  Wegener Corp. has renewed its $1.8 million distributor agreement with Mega Hertz, Wegener announced Oct. 1.

The long-standing agreement grants Mega Hertz exclusive distributor status for cable industry related products such as Wegener’s Unity 4600 professional satellite receivers sold to U.S. cable operators. 
Mega Hertz is a value-added reseller of multi-vendor solutions that support deployment of advanced video technologies over fiber and coax-based broadband and IP networks. 

"More and more HD (high-definition) programming is becoming available every month, and the price of HD-ready consumer devices continues to fall,”Ned Mountain, COO of Wegener, said in a statement. “The stage is set for us to see increased opportunities to sell our digital TV signal processing equipment and satellite receivers to cable operators through Mega Hertz’s established nationwide sales network.”
