Vitti Logistics Selects FourKites for Real-time Freight Tracking

FourKites, a real-time supply chain visibility platform connected to more than four million assets in North America, will help Vitti Logistics, a Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider to companies in Mexico and the United States, deliver differentiated customer value through real-time tracking and exception management across Mexico.

According to Vitti, the partnership also marks a shift away from legacy visibility technology and toward GPS-based tracking, powered by major Mexican telematics companies, including Grupo DECA, Ubic, Venit, SOS GPS, Pointer and others. Vitti’s customers can now turn data from FourKites into actionable intelligence to proactively manage exceptions as they occur.

FourKites’ predictive platform calculates shipment arrival times based on GPS satellite tracking data updated every 15 minutes, as opposed to the less precise cellphone tower triangulation method that incumbent visibility providers rely on.
