Recent hacks of smart-home devices seem to have caught the attention of United States lawmakers, who have drafted a bill that aims to regulate the Internet of Things (IOT). With up to 30 billion devices predicted to be connected to the internet by 2020, security experts warn that unsecured products could pose a significant threat to global cybersecurity.
