Advantech Wireless Touts Orders for Transcend 800 Microwave System

[Via Satellite 11-21-2016] Advantech Wireless has received new orders for its Transcend 800 microwave system from several global customers. The Transcend 800 capabilities enable satellite and microwave broadband customers to build country-wide systems for TV broadcast integrated distribution and contribution, government microwave networks, specialized military networks and private high-capacity IP microwave networks.

The Transcend 800 carries native video, IP and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) traffic, where traffic is combined directly in the radio frame as opposed to encapsulating video and TDM traffic over Ethernet, which may have negative system and performance implications. The microwave system is available in either split-mount or all-indoor configurations and operates in Radio Frequency (RF) bands ranging from 5 GHz to 42 GHz.
