ViaLite Releases New Outdoor Enclosure for RF over Fiber Equipment
[Via Satellite 08-26-2016] ViaLite has expanded its range of outdoor Enclosures (ODEs) with a new ODE-B enclosure, the ODE-B 12. The enclosures are primarily designed to house ViaLite Radio Frequency (RF) over fiber equipment, but can also store other customer satcom, broadcast or GPS equipment. The enclosures, rated up to IP66/NEMA 4X standard, protect electrical equipment from the elements when housed outdoors.
ODE-B 12 can hold up to 12 VialiteHD RF over fiber links in Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) module format, plus full Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The standard ODE-B holds up to six classic OEM modules.
Both of the ODE-B outdoor enclosures can also be used to house splitters, frequency sources (10 to 50 MHz), Low Noise Block (LNB) and Block Up Convertor (BUC) power supplies, modems, antenna controller units, lights and Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) systems. ViaLite customers have used ODE-B units on super yachts, and Galileo European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) ground stations.
The ODE-B is constructed from painted stainless steel making it suitable for use in hostile environments and heating is addable for cold weather conditions.
