[Via Satellite 07-06-2015] PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) has selected Kratos‘ satID geolocation system as part of a contract with Kratos Integral Systems International (ISI) to upgrade its Master Control Station (MCS). The geolocation system will support Telkom’s existing Telkom 1 and Telkom 2 satellites as well as the operator’s Telkom 3S satellite, which is scheduled for a late 2016 launch.

Kratos’ satID locates and identifies sources of interference due to equipment failure, operator error, intentional jamming, or unauthorized users. The product is equipped with a map-driven user interface, allowing operators to identify and overlay satellite and signal information, spectrum analyzer displays and other necessary elements to perform geolocation within the map-based environment.

The MCS contract also includes an Epoch IPS command and control system augmentation and an RF system upgrade. Epoch IPS is a satellite fleet management system with the ability to simultaneously control multiple satellites from different manufacturers through a consolidated system.
