[Via Satellite 03-30-2015] Russian satellite manufacturer Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems (ISS-Reshetnev) has initiated pre-construction procedures for the building of a new integration and test facility. The company is demolishing a derelict building from the early 1990s near its territory to make room for satellite transportation containers and employee parking, to accommodate staffing the new building. The demolition also makes room for Phase 2 of a technical modernization initiative to be completed in 2020.

ISS-Reshetnev’s new integration and test facility is planned to have room for two departments to assemble and test satellites in order to shorten production times. The 50,000 square meter site will support thermal, vacuum, mechanical and electro-technical satellite testing, along with an electrical steam-generating station to support galvano-chemical, varnish and paint coatings.
