[Via Satellite 12-10-2014] Thales Alenia Space is spending approximately $10 million to expand its Cannes, France site with a new 1,250-square-meters building for optical space instruments. The new, modular building will have four integration areas each capable of handling a separate program, and 700 square meters of clean room space.

Thales Alenia Space’s new building is the final part of the Odyssée program that began in 2008, where the city of Cannes provided adjacent land for expansion. The optics facility will be handed over to the company in the summer of 2015.
