[Via Satellite 04-07-2014] European Space Imaging (EUSI) has partnered with Skybox Imaging to support their High-Res Challenge, now called the “European Space Imaging and Skybox High-Res Challenge.” Skybox is launching a constellation of more than 20 high-resolution satellites, which once complete will be able to visit the same location multiple times a day.

The challenge is now open worldwide to participants and is looking for new ideas for this sub-daily access of Very High-Resolution (VHR), multispectral data from the Skybox satellite. The winner of the challenge will receive a European Space Imaging data package from Skybox valued at more than $27,000. The challenge does not require prototypes or previous testing, and is intended to search for viable applications with strong reasoning for their purpose.
