In this edition of Space Security Sentinel, I interviewed Laurie Mercer of HackerOne, one of the world’s top security companies, about how he assesses the threats that space companies should take seriously. We also have a new column from Hugh Taylor and Marc Feldman on lunar security scenarios.
Also, CyberSat has an exciting webinar planned for June — Dispatches from the Front Line: Iranian Cyber Attacks Zero in on Satellite Assets. It is planned for Tuesday, June 23 at 11 a.m. ET. Vantor CISO Norm Laudermilch and Clémence Poirier, senior researcher with the Cyber Defense Project at the Center for Security Studies (CSS), are both confirmed as speakers.
The conversation will cover cutting edge insights and research into how Iran has targeted space assets in recent months. Laudermilch has been on the front line in this area in his role with Vantor, and Poirier has done extensive research in this area. For any space company looking at these threat vectors, this will be a tremendously interesting webinar to participate in. Stay tuned on more information on how to register.
