Focus on Defense

In Partnership With:

We just published our October/November magazine, with a cover story focused on the opportunity for the space industry to support the Golden Dome. Via Satellite freelancer Anne Wainscott-Sargent spoke to leaders at Lockheed Martin Space, Sierra Space Defense, L3Harris, and more about the capabilities needed for the missile defense initiative, and the critical role industry collaboration will play in making it possible.

While specific details of the architecture and procurement plan haven’t been released yet, companies are making sizable investments ahead of the Golden Dome with acquisitions, new products, and factory expansions. We saw another one of these acquisitions this week with launcher Firefly Aerospace acquiring data processing and analytics company SciTec, Inc., citing defense opportunities like Golden Dome in its rationale.
