AMC-9 suffered an outage from an unknown cause in the early morning hours of June 17th. Some of the non-video services using AMC-9 at the time was some unknown type of data transmissions, some VSAT activity, and some aeronautical broadband activity. Some of the video services using AMC-9 was the New York State Media Services Center/NY Lottery, Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), Luken Communications, Televisa, and some Spanish-language TV stations and networks. It is unknown at the time of this writing if SES will be able to bring the satellite back into service. The only AMC-9 restored service found so far is Luken Communications who moved their distribution signal of digital multicasting channels to SES-1 C-band (101°W) at 3,900 MHz horizontal polarity in DVB-S2 format with a symbol rate of 29,125. When other AMC-9 customers' new locations are found if service can't be restored at the 83°W, they will be disclosed in future email updates and Satellite Transponder Guide online/printed updates.

Aguascalientes TV HD left 3,870 MHz horizontal polarity in DVB-S2 format with a symbol rate of 3,750 on Eutelsat 113 West A C-band (113°W) and moved to AMC-9 C-band (83°W) at 3,831 MHz vertical polarity in DVB-S2 format with a symbol rate of 3,715. With the current AMC-9 outage, the new location for Aguascalientes TV has not been found yet.

V-me left a PBS distribution signal on AMC-21 Ku-band (124.9°W) at 12,180 MHz vertical polarity in DVB-S2 format with a symbol rate of 30,000.
