Encompass Digital Media Launches ChannelReady Playout Platform

[Via Satellite 04-13-2016] Encompass Digital Media has released a new cloud-edge playout platform called ChannelReady, designed to enable secure, cost-effective channel playout that accelerates time to market, streamlines operating costs and maximizes revenue. ChannelReady offers clients secure access to their channel data from anywhere in the world. The system uses business intelligence rules that simplify setup and delivery, allowing a network to quickly scale from one to hundreds of channels. All steps from schedule conversion, as-run management and discrepancy reports are managed in an access portal allowing clients to prepare, manage and deliver simple content faster.

“This technology significantly reduces the number of high-maintenance processes in an advanced production workflow to help networks run a leaner, more nimble operation,” said Chris Walters, Encompass CEO.

Encompass is first releasing ChannelReady in the Asia Pacific and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, where demand for the product has been greatest. Following the initial launch, the product will then expand globally.
