M7 Group Distributes Scripps Networks in Europe

[Via Satellite 04-02-2015] Pay-TV operator M7 Group has expanded its agreement with Scripps Networks U.K. and EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) to deliver SD and HD channels. The company is broadcasting Food Network HD to subscribers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, The Netherlands and Flanders. The agreement includes the European distribution of Travel Channel HD, which is currently available in the previously mentioned locations, along with the Food Network in SD and the Fine Living channel.

Also part of the agreement, M7 Platform Services will provide secure delivery of all four channels to third party operators within SES’ Astra 3B satellite’s European footprint at 23.5 degrees east. The company plans to support third party operators with smartcards and Common Interface (CI) modules, 24/7 quality monitoring, and help desk support.
