Media Networks and Cable & Wireless Panama Announce DTH Agreement

[Via Satellite 11-11-2014] Media Networks, a wholesale satellite pay TV and broadband service provider, and Cable & Wireless Panama, a major telecommunications company in Panama, have reached an agreement whereby the Panamanian operator launched its new satellite pay TV Direct-to-Home (DTH) service using Media Networks’ wholesale service. The initial proposal of Cable & Wireless offers a base package with 49 SD signals.

“The Cable & Wireless project is critical for Media Networks because, besides being our first customer in Panama, it means that we are part of the company’s evolution to offer satellite pay TV service. This is reflected in the increased coverage in areas they could not reach before,” said Leandro Gaunszer, commercial director of Media Networks.
