Al-Rashad Holdings Awards Contract to ASC Signal

[Via Satellite 02-20-2014] Kuwait-based Al-Rashed Holdings has awarded ASC Signal Corporation with a contract to provide gateway satellite antennas and equipment for Kuwait’s Ministry of Information, which will be used for the distribution of TV and radio content across the Middle East and Africa. ASC Signal will provide transmit and receive Earth stations to access Nilesat and Arabsat satellites.

The Ku- and DBS-band antennas include interchangeable feed systems that will allow the Ministry of Information to use the same antenna at different frequency bands depending on the program. This new equipment will allow the ministry to deliver content from its facilities in Kuwait City.

Al-Rashad will also provide ASC Signal’s Next Generation Controller (NGC), which will give users a single central device to control and operate multiple antenna systems. Other features of the NGC include remote access and tracking as well as an internal spectrum analyzer.
