RRsat Global Communications Network Reports Record Revenues for Q2

[Satellite TODAY 08-08-13] RRsat Global Communications Network, a provider of digital content management and global distribution services to the television and radio broadcasting industries, reported a record $29.5 million in revenues for the second quarter of 2013.

The period, which ended on June 30, saw the company increase of 5.1 percent compared in revenues, compared to $28.1 million in the second quarter of 2012. Compared to the first quarter of this year, revenues were up slightly to $29.3 million. In addition, gross profit in the second quarter of 2013 was $7.4 million, an increase of 10.2 percent compared to $6.7 million in the second quarter of 2012 and compared to $7.1 million in the first quarter of 2013. Gross margin in the second quarter of 2013 was 24.9 percent compared to 23.8 percent in the second quarter of 2012 and 24.1 percent in the first quarter of 2013.

Within the company’s year-to-date financial results, revenues for the six months ending on June 30 increased 5.8 percent to $58.7 million compared to $55.5 million in 2012. Gross profit for the timeframe was $14.4 million, an increase of 12.6 percent compared to $12.8 the previous year, and gross margin was 24.5 percent compared to 23.1 percent in 2012.

RRSat expects 2013 full-year revenues in the range of $120 million to $125 million representing 6 percent to 10 percent year-over-year growth and gross margin for the year to improve over 2012. For the third quarter of 2013, the company anticipates revenues in the range of $29.2 million to $30.5 million representing 2.5 percent to 7 percent year-over-year growth.
