By Staff Writer | March 4, 2009

[Satellite Today 03-04-09] Nagravision, a Kudelski Group company, was selected by China Network Systems (CNS), a cable-based television provider in Taiwan, to protect the content rights and revenues of its new premium and high-definition services and deploy Nagravision’s new generation smartcard in mid-2009, CNS announced Mar. 3.
According to CNS CEO Chuck McElroy, the decision to select Nagravision was made after an exhaustive evaluation of a number of conditional access vendors. “Our decision to select Nagravision is based on a total value proposition encompassing security, time to market, extensive feature set and in-country support,” said McElroy in a statement.
Kudelski Group said the move strengthens their foothold in Taiwan, allowing them to service all independent operators in the region.
