Thales Alenia Space Receives Amos-4 Component Contract

[Satellite Today 07-07-08] Thales Alenia Space signed a contract with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Ltd., to supply components for the Amos-4 satellite, Thales Alenia announced J uly 7.
Thales Alenia will supply RF communication assemblies for the communication satellite, which is being manufactured by IAI for Spacecom Ltd., which received a contract valued at $365 million from IAI in July 2007.
Amos-4 will expand the satellite operator’s range of Ku- and Ka-band capacity, providing international communications and broadcasting transmission services. The satellite is scheduled to be launched in the 2012 third quarter to an orbital location between 64° East and 76° East.
