Measat Wins Fox Deal

[Satellite Today – 7-02-08] Measat Satellite Systems signed a capacity deal with Fox International Channels, Measat announced July 2.
    Under the agreement, Fox International Channels, a fully-owned business unit of News Corp., will see its Foxcrime and FX channels distributed on Measat-operated satellites to pay-TV operators throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
    “Our partnership with Measat has given us the opportunity to introduce our Fox Crime and FX channels much more readily throughout Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa, thus bringing more viewers closer to  these channels that have been hugely successful in all markets where we have launched,” Zubin Gandevia, managing director and executive vice president of Fox International Channels Asia, said in a statement.
    Financial details of the contract were not released.
