EchoStar Signs Two U.S. IPTV Reseller Contracts

[Satellite TODAY 04-15-10] EchoStar Satellite Services has signed two reseller deals for its ViP-TV program, the company announced April 13.
    The operator signed contracts with Fidelity Solutions, a provider of integrated video and data services in central Missouri, and Minnesota-based Pace International, a national satellite TV hardware and content distributor and provider of IPTV solutions for telcos, ISPs and system operators.
    EchoStar’s ViP-TV service offers a suite of IPTV services that includes transport of more than 300 TV and music channels in standard and high definition H.264 Internet Protocol format. ViP-TV also provides local TV channel aggregation in select designated market areas in both HD and SD.
    Fidelity will offer the ViP-TV transport solution for video and audio channels, including HD.
    Pace currently delivers hardware and content solutions, including local TV channels, to hundreds of thousands of commercial, SMATV and MDU units. As a marketer of EchoStar’s ViP-TV services, Pace can also arrange for IP-encapsulated video transport services and turn-key managed server solutions to telco operators, cable TV systems, and multiple dwelling unit (MDU) enterprises seeking an IPTV solution, including those serving gated communities, town homes, hospitals, and hospitality markets.
