Day Two begins with the Tuesday General Session featuring the CEOs of the largest global satellite operators — SES, Intelsat, Eutelsat, Telesat, and Viasat — directed by Via Satellite Editorial Director Mark Holmes. Topics include: innovation in video; satellite in Industrial IoT and Smart City ecosystems; cooperation with terrestrial carriers; bandwidth for 5G; and bridging the digital divide.
The Startup Space Entrepreneur Pitch Contest will feature 14 startup aerospace firms competing for five private investor meetings and free admittance to SATELLITE 2020. The Tuesday program closes with a session on how global space industry partners can maintain a collaborative spirit during geopolitical tension.
Wednesday opens with “Our Collective Role in Empowering Women and Cultivating Diversity in Aerospace,” featuring Kay Koplovitz, Founder of USA Networks and the first female broadcast chief executive in history.
Via Satellite’s Wednesday Awards Luncheon will reveal the 2018 Satellite Executive of the Year Award and the inaugural 2018 Satellite Technology of the Year Award via the first-ever live public vote.
The Wednesday closing session, “From the Outside Looking In: Industry 4.0 in Space,” will feature Fortune 500 companies including Mastercard, Siemens, DuPont, Merck, IBM Watson, and Deloitte.
Thursday’s conference features executive roundtable five-year forecasts for both GEO and LEO/MEO businesses, a Space-Based Cloud Security session, an “IoT of the Oceans” panel with Silversea and Carnival, and Space Situational Awareness and Life-Extension panels. VS
