      Norsat Releases Satellite Android App

      Norsat has launched its Satellite Locator App for Android. The App enables users to locate geostationary satellites, assess obstructions and point satellite ground terminals. It is now available as a free download for Android mobile phones and tablets on Google Play. The App was released on the iPhone earlier this year.

      OnAir Signs New Honeywell Deal

      OnAir has signed a new deal with Honeywell making OnAir the distributor of Inmarsat’s Global Xpress Ka-band aircraft connectivity services to the business and general aviation segment.

      OnAir provides the technology that allows airlines and business jet passengers worldwide mobile connectivity to make calls, browse online and text from the comfort of their aircraft seat just as they would on the ground. OnAir already distributes this technology to commercial airlines.

      ViaSat Wins New DoD Contract for Joint IP Modems

      ViaSat has received orders in excess of $11 million for Joint IP Modem Network Control Centers (NCCs), remote modems, and Joint IP Modem enhancements.

      These production contracts enable the Department of Defense to complete its roll out of interoperable network services to warfighters from teleports and Strategic Tactical Entry Points (STEPs).
