By Staff Writer | August 24, 2010

Newtec has won a multi-million dollar contract to provide its FlexACM technology, supporting IP-trunking satellite links, to an unnamed government prime contractor in the United States, the company announced Aug. 10.
Newtec will provide and help install a solution that includes Elevation EL470 satellite IP modems with FlexACM technology in 1:1 and 1:4 redundant configurations, which will form the core of an entirely new infrastructure for the government project.
“This major contract is the largest single installation to date of Newtec’s FlexACM technology and a very significant milestone in its transition to become the system of choice across the international marketplace. FlexACM offers many unique features and its ability to double data throughout makes it a compelling solution for IP trunking and IP backbone applications,” Newtec CEO Serge Van Herck said in a statement.
