      IDC Licenses Irdeto Encryption Technology

      International Datacasting Corp. entered an agreement to license Irdeto’s Cyphercast IP encryption technology.

          Ongoing sales and development of the Cyphercast IP product as well as support for Cyphercast customers will transfer to IDC. Additionally, IDC will be able to combine the Cyphercast IP encryption technology with the Irdeto PIsys and FlexSMS products under a pre-existing reseller agreement that makes IDC the exclusive supplier of Cyphercast IP conditional access solutions.       Paradise Datacom Introduces Satellite Modem

      Paradise Datacom has introduced a pair of satellite modems.

          The PD10 and PD10L, part of the Evolution Series, are designed for cost-critical applications and can be upgraded via the modem’s keypad.

          Evolution modems provide the foundation for networks throughout Asia, Africa, Europe and Middle East and provide value by reducing the need to purchase expensive test instruments such as spectrum analyzers and bit error rate test sets.       Streambox Introduces New Encoder

      Streambox Inc. has introduced its Mobile Software Encoder, which is designed to extend the newsgathering capabilities of broadcasters, first responders and citizen reporters. The encoder transports broadcast video over Wi-Fi and 3G networks for real-time and store-and-forward news coverage.
