Mitec Expands Chinese Facilities

[Satellite Today – 2-14-08] Mitec Telecom Inc. has leased a facility in China that will increase its manufacturing capacity to 38,000 feet, the company announced Feb. 14.
    The facility, which is expected to be fully functional by April 1, is located a few kilometers from Mitec’s current location in Suzhou, China.
    "Our new building will allow Mitec to further expand its production capacity and give us greater ability to take advantage of lower manufacturing costs associated with operating in China," Dan Piergentili, Mitec’s CEO, said in a statement. "Having a larger facility fits well with our strategy to grow global revenues, improve margins and continue to develop business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market."
