Intelsat’s Galaxy 17 Goes Operational

      Intelsat Ltd.’s Galaxy 17 satellite began operations, while the launch of the company’s Horizons-2 satellite will be delayed.

      Galaxy 17, built by Thales Alenia Space, will be located at 91º West to join Intelsat’s North American cable community within its Galaxy fleet. The satellite will offer capacity via 24 C- and 24 Ku-band transponders for Intelsat’s video, corporate and consumer broadband customers in North America and the Caribbean.
