Spaceway-3 Arrives In Kourou For August Launch

Hughes Network Systems’ Spaceway-3 satellite has been delivered to the European Spaceport in French Guiana, Arianespace announced July 11. The spacecraft will be part of a scheduled Aug. 14 launch of an Ariane 5 along with BSAT-3a.

Spaceway-3, manufactured by Boeing, is a Ka-band satellite designed to deliver high-speed communications services for Internet Protocol data and multimedia applications to North America.
