TerreStar Networks To Provide Services In Rural Vermont Program

TerreStar Networks Inc. is establishing a pilot project for deployment and testing of its wireless broadband and telecommunications services to rural and underserved areas in Vermont, the company announced July 11.
Designed to enhance Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas’ E-State Initiative to provide universal cellular and broadband coverage anywhere in Vermont, the project ¬— which does not require state funds — will be available for all existing and new voice and data service providers operating in Vermont.
