Crawford Adds StarLink’s Trucks To Fleet

By JJ McCoy | June 8, 2007

Atlanta-based Crawford Communications Inc. has acquired the assets of StarLink Inc., a satellite uplink truck company based near Chattanooga, Tenn.

The acquisition adds a C-band, Ku-band and C/Ku-band hybrid to Crawford’s existing fleet, remaining the largest independent operation in the country. Crawford now operates 14 Ku-band, two Ku/Production, one C/Ku-band hybrid and seven C-band satellite uplink trucks.

"This acquisition will not only expand Crawford’s coverage area, it will also bring the depth of a larger company to StarLink’s customers,” said Paul Edwards, vice president of transportables for Crawford.
