The U.S. Navy awarded ViaSat an undefinitized, firm-fixed-price delivery order for multifunctional information distribution system-joint tactical radio system (MIDS-JTRS) production transition terminals (PTTs), the U.S. Department of Defense announced June 4.
The contract, not to exceed $15,600,724, is expected to be completed by April 2009. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, is the contracting activity. An undefinitized contract allows work to commence toward
procurement before the contracting process is finalized.
