By JJ McCoy | June 1, 2007
Space agencies from around the globe have agreed on a shared long-term view of space exploration.
"The Global Exploration Strategy: The Framework for Coordination,” was released May 31 by the agencies, including NASA, the European Space Agency, Roskosmos, the Indian Space Research Organization, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and the Canadian Space Agency and representatives from agencies in Australia, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Republic of Korea and Ukraine.
The framework document allows for the establishment of a voluntary, non-binding mechanism for exchanging on space exploration plans.
