Globalstar To Add Asian Gateway

Globalstar Inc. will add a gateway in Asia and extended a value-added reseller partnership, the company announced.
Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. will construct and operate a Globalstar gateway ground station in Singapore under a strategic alliance with Globalstar. The ground station will expand Globalstar’s coverage throughout Singapore and Malaysia as well as parts of Indonesia, Brunei and the surrounding Southeast Asian maritime shipping region.
Separately, Globalstar announced that General Electric’s (GE) Asset Intelligence division has extended its value-added reseller agreement to 2010.
Financial details were not disclosed for either agreement.
