Lockheed Gains $589.6 Million, 10-Year Air/Space Center Pact

      The Air Force gave Lockheed Martin Corp. [LMT] a $589.6 million contract to provide services for the Air and Space Operations Center.

      Lockheed Martin Mission Systems, of Colorado Springs, Colo., received a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed fee, and cost-plus-award fee contract.

      The company will provide fielding, sustainment, system engineering, integration, modernization, maintenance, management, and contingency support for the Air and Space Operations Center through August 2010.

      The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to that maximum $589.6 million amount, although the actual requirements may be less than that under the program which is managed by the Headquarters Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.
