Missile Defense Agency

The Missile Defense Agency intends to issue a sole source contract to Vanguard Research, Inc., for scientific, engineering, and technical assistance for ballistic missile defense simulation, architectures, evaluation of sensors, interceptors, and threats, concepts of operation, block development, elements and component system engineering, and advanced technologies contributing to future Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capabilities.

The contract consists of providing executive-level experts with recent BMDS experience as team members, conducting independent research investigations into the technical items, facilitating monthly senior advisory board meetings of these experts covering the science and engineering of the BMDS, development of key findings and recommendations on the technical issues involving the BMDS, and presentation to senior leadership.

The contract performance period will be one base year and four option years.
