Colussy Appointed Interim CEO At Iridium

      Iridium Satellite LLC, the global supplier of mobile satellite communications services, announced that Carmen Lloyd, CEO, is retiring from the company.

      The Board of Iridium Holdings LLC, the holding company for Iridium Satellite LLC, has named Dan Colussy as interim CEO. Colussy will serve as interim CEO until Lloyd’s successor is appointed. Colussy is a founding investor and former CEO of Iridium Satellite LLC, as well as Chairman of Iridium Holdings LLC.

      In 2005, Iridium’s revenue increased 55 percent over total revenue in 2004, according to a company press release. Iridium now has approximately 142,000 voice and data subscribers as of December 31, 2005. This is a 24 percent increase over the total number of subscribers at the end of 2004.
