Boeing Scrubs This Morning’s Launch, Will Try Again Tomorrow

By Staff Writer | November 5, 2004

A launch attempt scheduled for early this morning involving a U.S. Air Force GPS satellite aboard a Boeing [NYSE: BA] Delta II rocket was scrubbed again and will be attempted early tomorrow. The countdown from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., was stopped with approximately 43 seconds left.

A hold in the countdown was called due to a concern involving the launch database system. The launch team was unable to address and resolve the issue in time to meet the end of the launch window.

The next launch attempt by Boeing and the Air Force will take place on Nov. 6, during a 28-minute window that opens at 12:39 a.m. EST.
