By Staff Writer | October 29, 2004

Those going somewhere off the beaten path for the holidays have an option for staying in touch. Roadpost, a Canadian vendor that sells satellite and cellular services, has reduced the price of its Iridium 9505 model satellite phone it sells to just $1,395 for complete pole-to-pole coverage. The special offer includes a spare battery, a leather holster, a charger with four international adapters, a car charger and a durable Pelican carry case. Roadpost is marketing the phone as a “unique gift idea” for the holidays. The sale will remain in effect until Dec. 31, but quantities are limited.

Founded in 1991, Roadpost provides global communications services to individuals and corporations. It offers international BlackBerry messaging, Iridium satphone service, and Thuraya satphone services, among others.
